How to Play Electronic Poker

[ English ]

Electronic Poker is a popular game that usually will be bet on in casinos across the world, or in your house on your PC, using an Internet account. The regulations are absolutely simple and consist of the player attempting to achieve the best combination of cards achievable in order to win money. In this respect it is much the same as a regular game of poker, minus the line of contact with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Video Poker begins when the bettor puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A 5 card hand will then be electronically ‘given out’ on the screen.

The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and players should now decide which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.

After the gambler has selected which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be needed they will be dealt. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.

Typically, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that skillful bettors are agile enough to choose the most profitable machine each and every time.

Once the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that have been won. Additionally, some styles of the game allow the bettor a chance to increase their winnings, in which case another round is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
